Achievement
While serving as Deputy Director of the Central Standards Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Jui-Te Yu integrated the management units of patents, trademarks, and copyrights scattered in different government departments, and set up the Intellectual Property Bureau. He also served as the first deputy director, which brought Taiwan's intellectual property protection and development to a new milestone and provided a new opportunity for the upgrading of Taiwan's industry.

Key Experience
An Outstanding Career in Public Service
Jui-Te Yu has engaged in public service for decades, devoting his expertise to building the country’s trade regulatory framework. He headed the MOEA’s Petitions and Appeals Committee to help settle corporate disputes over patents and trademarks, before being appointed Director General of MOEA’s Department of Commerce, where his endeavors in modernizing and technologically upgrading Taiwan’s trade practices helped hundreds of thousands of businesses in Taiwan strengthen their competitiveness. At the same time, he also served as a director of UBI Asia, assisting the private sector in developing the biotechnology industry.

In his early years, Jui-Te engaged in cross-strait negotiation affairs as the Deputy Director of the Mainland Affairs Council‘s Department of Legal Affairs. His time at the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) as head of the Department of Legal Affairs also added to the depth of his experience in cross-strait exchange.

Jui-Te is now the Secretary-General of Taiwan Corporate Governance Association, utilizing the power of NGOs to assist the government in promoting the “Corporate Governance 3.0 – Sustainable Development Roadmap” announced by the Financial Supervisory Commission.
