Achievements
Successfully executed CDIB’s transformation from an industrial bank to an asset manager, now with regional footprints across North America and Asia, investment teams of 100+ professionals and external AUM of NT$50bn+. Jointly led the CDIB legal team in supporting investment execution and winning favorable settlements of several long-term cases. Initiated partnerships between CDF and universities on seminars and lectures for executives to contribute a total of 200+ hours and benefit 850+ students. Launched the group’s seminar series on digital economy in 2014.

Legal industry leader of CDF's legal affairs
Melanie Nan is Acting President of CDIB Capital Group. Before joining the Group, she was the General Counsel for CDF. Prior to that, she worked at Lee and Li Attorneys-at-Law as a Senior Attorney. Having led or worked on numerous cross-border investments as well are high-profile M&As, privatization and international dispute resolution. Melanie is licensed to practice law in the States of California and in Taiwan, and is also a certified patent analyst and biotech industry management professional (Level 1) in Taiwan. Additionally, she spearheaded the formation of CSR Committee for the Board of Directors of CDF, working on the group’s ESG framework as the Committee Secretary, and is currently the Head of Social Philanthropy Working Group.
